Ground survey works will be taking place in Brighouse for up to three weeks from 25th March for both the Brighouse Town Deal and also the A641 Improvement Scheme.
The surveys will provide information on what is beneath the ground which will help with the development of both scheme designs.
The survey work will start on 25 March and run for up to three weeks.
During this time:
- From 25th March for several days – The footway at the front of the market on Briggate will be closed.
- From 2nd April for up to two weeks – The canal towpath will be closed past Brighouse Market heading towards Brookfoot. The closure will be to Ganny Foot Bridge and a diversion will be in place.
- Throughout the works – Some car park spaces in Owler Ings and Daisy Street car park will not be in use, however both car parks will remain open at all times.
During all these survey works, no road closures will be required.
We are working with the separate A641 project team to do these works at the same time in an attempt to minimise disruption, and by carrying out this work now, it will help reduce the extent of disruption when the main work is carried out in the future.
Nevertheless, we apologise for any disruption this may cause and will look to get these necessary surveys completed as soon as possible.
