The Brighouse Deal is putting high-tech manufacturing at the heart of the town’s future by creating an Industry 4.0 Hub where small and medium sized businesses can explore how digital technology can improve their productivity and increase innovation.

Calderdale College is now leading the delivery of the project alongside the University of Huddersfield, Textile Centre of Excellence, West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services and Calderdale & Kirklees Manufacturing Alliance.

▶️ The Industry 4.0 & Skills project is the first to be delivered as part of the Town Deal

▶️ Kirkdale House on the Armytage Road Industrial Estate has been transformed into a skills hub and is now open.

▶️ It is offering 70 apprenticeships & feature high-tech equipment showcasing augmented reality, advanced manufacturing and robotics

▶️ There are now also a range of short training programmes to support small and medium sized businesses, helping them to upskill their current workforce, improve productivity and increase innovation
