What is the Towns Fund?
In September 2019, the government invited 100 places to develop proposals for a Town Deal, as part of the £3.6 billion Towns Fund. Brighouse was one of those successful at bidding for investment.
The Towns Fund is part of the government’s plan for levelling up the UK economy. Towns will work with the Government to address growth constraints and to ensure there is a course of recovery from the impact of COVID-19. The overarching aims of the Towns Fund are to drive the sustainable economic regeneration of towns to deliver long term economic and productivity growth.
Who Are We?
The Brighouse Deal is co-ordinated by The Brighouse Town Deal Board, a group of individuals made up of representatives from the community and business with a distinct aim, to deliver the Town Deal approved by the government alongside Calderdale Council.
We work with Brighouse BID, Visit Brighouse and many other organisations across the town and beyond, but have that specific remit.
